No.

However, if have been involved in a work place injury or seek a Third Party claim, you need a referral from a medical practitioner and approval from the Insurance Company. Or, if you have a chronic condition e.g. Diabetes, Arthritis and want to claim a Medicare rebate - you need a referral from a medical practitioner.

For a bio-mechanical assessment (foot, leg or back pain), please bring in your shoes you wear to work and shoes you wear for activities.

Please bring in any imaging of your foot, if you have it. Xrays, ultrasound, MRI, CT reports or images that may be useful.

Can I claim Podiatry on Private Health Insurance?

Yes, if you are covered. You can call your health fund and check prior to appointment to ensure you are covered. We use HICAPS which provides immediate payment of eligible health fund rebates - meaning that the patient only needs to pay any 'gap' for services at the time of consultation.
